Who Pays for a Living Donor?

Buying an organ is illegal. Paying for a private search, or for RN Navigator help with logistics, is not the same thing as paying for a kidney.

The operation

When a transplant center clears a living donor, the recipient’s insurance commonly covers medically necessary donor surgery. If you still need a kidney or liver donor, you still need matching. If you need an RN Navigator for billing and logistics questions, you need a paid session.

Travel and time away from work

Those costs are not the operation. Eligible donors may have reimbursement. You order Full Navigator after coverage — for paperwork coordination. Asking about travel is free.

What you pay us
